Our Edwardian Grade II listed sail lofts are having some work done in order to keep them in good condition. A recent survey highlighted that there were some areas on the roadside elevations that need attention and so in September, to start things off, we booked six weeks of work on sail loft D (FACT office) and managed to raise the funds to complete the works.

Loft D has now been repaired, insulated, lined and and had completely new weatherboard installed on the roadside elevation. It has been a significant piece of work which we have wanted to do for a while – with winter approaching it was good to take the opportunity to do it. Loft D is in the best condition ever in recent memory! We are thankful to have been able to achieve this work and hope to do similar work on the other three lofts, completing one a year for the next three years.
