FACT Community Champions

Could you be one of FACT’s Community Champions?
We are looking to create a team of people to be FACT Community Champions, a group of people that have a history with FACT that could help us to communicate our vision & work to others. Essentially someone who is keen to raise awareness of FACT, share the difference a visit to FACT can make, help us enlist new supporters, funders, and be a voice for FACT in their local church, community or area.

The role would be to promote some or all of the following areas:

  • Prayers for the FACT team, trustees and visitors
  • Help to increase donations – via the £10 a month campaign or one-off donations
  • Help find local organisations that would adopt FACT as their Mission of the month/year
  • Help identify local groups, people, youth groups, churches, and/or schools that would like to hear more
  • Help share the FACT story with the identified groups’ members/congregation
  • Help find new volunteers

Full support would be provided to assist you in whichever areas you felt able to promote.

A FACT Community Champion would be:

    • Knowledgeable about FACT and what we offer
    • Have a friendly and outgoing personality
    • Have a good knowledge of groups in their local area or be willing to research this
    • Enthusiastic about FACT’s work
    • Happy to share FACT’s mission
    • Someone who enjoys networking and making new links

As we navigate a fast-changing society and world, we are looking at new ways to increase awareness of what we offer, boost donations and encourage regular volunteering. We hope to find 10-15 FACT Community Champions – if you would like to be involved please contact the office for an initial chat or by phone on 01621 868 113.

“The staff on board are absolutely brilliant, thank you again for allowing the children to attend, they enjoyed every second of it and had experiences they would never normally have the opportunity to have. It also helped me enormously as I am a single parent and never have any time to relax.”

Without the bursary support there would have been many very disappointed children. They had a wonderful time taking part in a range of activities, for some it was their first experience being away from home and for all it was a great opportunity to gain independence, build confidence, overcome anxieties and learn to trust. Thank you
