It was noticed during painting work in 2013 that most of the Sail Loft windows were very rotten and in need of replacement. A big fund-raising effort followed to raise the money to replace 28 windows on the four historic Sail Lofts. Funding was achieved in July 2014 that was sufficient to instruct the contractors. By August, final measurements were taken, windows were made like-for-like to fit in with conservation rules and fitting work commenced in September. The work proceeded well which meant that work was completed in November! The quality of work is excellent, they open easily and they are weather sealed which will keep the office and the other loft buildings much warmer over the winter.
