FACT turned 50 in 2017!

FACT @ 50 Banner

When we look back at all that has been achieved in the last 50 years we know that we have been blessed. To celebrate our 50th year we had a community day full of activities and fun, with almost 400 past staff, volunteers and friends coming down to Tollesbury to join in the celebrations.

After a period of anticipation, the day was finally upon us – the preparations paid off and everything ran smoothly. The activities were well attended and everyone had a good time in the sun. Later on in the afternoon we packed the marquee with almost 400 people where we had a service of celebration, followed by a hog roast and barn dance too! We were just sorry that everyone could not have been there! The highlights were:-

  • Fantastic to welcome almost 400 Fellowship Afloaters to Tollesbury for a day of celebration and thanksgiving for 50 years of serving people through adventure and community.
  • Climbing, Powerboat trips, High Ropes and Sailing sessions were enjoyed during the day, along with displays, and opportunities to be creative and share memories and comments.
  • The day brought everyone together for a service of thanksgiving that featured interviews, readings, prayer aeroplanes and our very own Hugh Dibbens who encouraged us all to commit to the future before enjoying a hog roast and barn dance.
  • Huge thanks to a team of almost 70 people who helped run the day so well – we couldn't have done it without you!
