For many years, different groups have found a stay at FACT to be a valuable component in their annual programme.
Each year about 20 individual groups, often churched based, come onboard for a tailor made activity weekend. The programme is built around your needs in terms of activity choice and spiritual input. We enjoy visits from sailing clubs, girl guides, scouts as well as other organisations. Most users opt for a weekend arriving Friday evening and depart Sunday afternoon.
The unique nature of FACT's centre, together with the rhythm of the ever changing tides, influence the daily programme and change the pace of life to create a very unique setting.
One of our chief activities is dinghy sailing and we are a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre. We are also registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority. On the water we offer sailing, powerboating, and rafting, while on land we provide archery, climbing, high ropes, photo orienteering & and a wide range of team building games.
FACT's classroom, located in one of our historic sail loft buildings, can provide a range of art & craft options that can be built into a programme.
This is tailored to your needs, do discuss this with us. We have a wide range of resources, and we are happy to lead these sessions or support you in delivery.
Our full-time staff team has a range of teaching, outdoor instructor and pastoral qualifications and experience. Our aim is to provide practical support in all areas from programme delivery to domestic arrangements and night-time supervision and care; to lighten the load on accompanying leaders.
