Preparing our activity centre for the next 25 years
Trinity3 Project
The development of Trinity has enabled our capacity to rise by 33%, an additional 1,000 visitors will be able to enjoy a stay on board each year, and groups of up to 48 can now be accommodated. With a spend of £2.1m & work taking place over 5 years in the water months when groups are not staying with us, Trinity has been transformed and we have:
- Added an additional large meeting area on the upper deck with outstanding views that can be flexible to meet the needs of a diverse range of guests.
- Enlarged the lookout meeting room so smaller meetings of up to 18 can take place.
- Added 12 more guest beds in six en-suite cabins, taking our capacity from 36 to 48, including one accessible cabin.
- Covered the forward portion of the foredeck & made a new de-humidified kit storage area enabling better care of our equipment and an improved living space, new seating was also added on the foredeck.
- Reduced heating energy costs by installing sustainable energy technology.
- Expanded the galley to better cope with the increased number of guests.
- Installed a new toilet & shower block on the same level as the accommodation.
- Refurbished the light tower adding glazing throughout.
- Replaced all glazing with double glazed units.
- Installed a new helical staircase over 3 levels allowing easy access to all areas of the ship.
- Refurbished the saloon area including new carpets & seating.
- Added piling to steady the ship.
The final part of the project is due to complete in December 2023 when a new accessible entrance & ramp will be installed, afterwards the old entrance will be blocked and re-glazed.
