Location

We’re located in Tollesbury, Essex, England, on the north coast of the River Blackwater, south of Colchester and east of Maldon.

Our centre is located on 150 acres of saltmarsh but just 45 minutes from Junction 28 of the M25 /A12 which makes the journey arrangements for schools straightforward.

Tollesbury is at the south end of the B1023, which can be accessed from the A12 (London to Colchester road) at Kelvedon, Essex. The nearest railway station is 10 miles away at Witham, about 45 minutes journey time from London Liverpool Street, and there’s a bus service from Witham to Tollesbury should you need it.

Along with stunning vistas all year round, we benefit from the shelter of the sea walls and being in a creek off the estuary; perfect for getting beginner groups out on the water. With a 400m path to the lightship Trinity, we are constantly confronted with the beauty of the marshes and wildlife around us.

Our converted lightship  sits proudly in the salt marsh, surrounded by mud berths and smaller vessels, owned by individuals and managed by Tollesbury Saltings Ltd.

“Personally I found staying on Trinity to give great peace”

Youth Group Leader

Our high ropes course, games room, archery range and climbing wall are all situated on the land at the end of the path from Trinity, providing us with multi-purpose space in order to serve our groups.
